South East Of Turkey (Gobeklitepe – Cappadoccia – Ephesus – Pamukkale – Istanbul)

DAY 1. ISTANBUL-MARDIN

Arrival to Istanbul airport and flight to Mardin airport, visit Deyrulzafaran Syriac Monastery stil active one in use. Kasimiye Madrasah, lunch at local restaurant with view of Old Mardin City. Check in hotel and rest. Before dinner – walking tour in Mardin old city center, taste syriac local wine, experience local coffe types and local snacks. Overnight at Mardin city.

DAY 2. MARDIN- GOBEKLITEPE- HARRAN- SANLIURFA

Breaksfast at hotel with local dishes, drive to Gobeklitepe (2,5 hour) which is the oldest ancient buildings in the world. Visit in Gobeklitepe, lunch at local kebab restaurant. Visit in Harran – town where Abraham was lived: Traditional “chimney like” houses, oldest İslamic university also Harran is the. At Harran traditional houses taste local Arabic coffe. Drive to Sanliurfa city center and visit Fish Lake and Abraham’s cave where he was born. Archeological museum in Sanlurfa – place where you can find unique artifacts. Overnight at Sanliurfa city.

DAY 3. NEMRUT MOUNTAIN- EUPHRATES RIVER- COMMAGENE KINGDOM

Breakfast at hotel and drive to Nemrut Mountain, on the way visit Ataturk Dam on the Euphrates river. After photostop drive to Adıyaman city and lunch at Euphrates riverside. Change bus to climb Nemrut mountain with local private bus driver, on the way to Nemrut mountain visit Cendere Roman Empire Bridge, Arsemia Ancient city and visit Black Eagle Monument. Arrival to Nemrut Mountain and start to walk to climb (20 min) to watch sunset, after sunset drive to hotel at Adiyaman City. Dinner at hotel and overnight at Adiyaman city.

DAY 4. HALFETI- ZEUGMA ANCIENT CITY- ZEUGMA MOSAIC MUSEUM

Breakfast at hotel. Drive to Halfeti town, after Ataturk dam was built on the Euphrates river – Zeugma ancient city stayed under water. Boat tour on Euphrates river and see the sink ancient city and Roman Empire castle on riverside. Lunch at riverside. Then drive to Gaziantep city to visit Zeugma Mosaic Museum. Visit old city center and market free time. Overnight at Gaziantep city center.

Day 5. CAPPADOCCIA- GOREME- PIGEON VALLEY

Breakfast at hotel. Drive to cappadoccia (4,5 hours), having a lunch at cave restaurant, visit Pigeon Valley, Uchisar Castle, traditional pottery workshop, overnight at cave hotel in Urgup town/Goreme town.

DAY 6. CAPPADOCCIA- UNDERGROUND CITY- HOT AIR BALLON

Hot air ballon tour cappadoccia (optional), after hot air ballon return back to hotel and have a breakfast, visit Goreme Open Air Museum, Local carpet workshop, lunch at local’s house, Camel Valley, Kaymakli Underground City, overnight at cave hotel in Urgup or Goreme town.

DAY 7. KONYA – PAMUKKALE – MEVLANA MUSEUM

Breakfast at hotel, drive to Konya city (3 hours), on the way visit silkroad Sultanhani Karavansaray, arrival Konya and visit Mevlana Museum, lunch at Konya. Driving to Pamukkale (4,5 hours). Arrival to Pamukkale and stay at thermal 5* hotel, overnight at Pamukkale.

DAY 8. PAMUKKALE & HIERAPOLIS ANCIENT CITY- ANCIENT CITY OF EPHESUS-KUSADASI

Breakfast at hotel, visit Pamukkale travertines and Hierapolis Ancient City, lunch at restaurant which has view opposite of white Pamukkale travertines. After lunch drive to Ephesus (2,5 hours), visit Ancient city of Ephesus, drive to Kusadasi city , overnight at Kusadasi city.

DAY 9. KUSADASI- EPHESUS ARCHEOLOGY MUSEUM- BURSA-GREEN TOMB

Breakfast at hotel, leather factory outlet, Ephesus Archeological Museum, drive to Bursa, lunch at Bursa, visit Green Tomb and Mosque, silk bazaar free time, overnight at Bursa.

DAY 10. ISTANBUL-BOSPHORUS CRUISE- DOLMABAHCE PALACE-SULEYMANIYE MOSQUE

Breakfast at hotel, stop for Turkish Delight shop factory, drive to Istanbul, arrival to Istanbul and Bosphorus cruise, lunch at Galata Bridge, visit Dolmabahce palace, visit Suleymaniye Mosque and watch Golden Horn and Bosphorus from different view point. Overnight at Istanbul.

Day 11. ISTANBUL-TOPKAPI PALACE-BASILICA CISTERN-HAGIA SOPHIA-GRAND BAZAAR

Breakfast at hotel , visit old peninsula of Istanbul, first visit Blue Mosque and Hippodrome, Topkapi Palace, Hagia Sophia, Basilica Cistern, Grand Bazaar. Transfer to airport.
